The Onogie of Ogwa Kingdom receives TACN LEC in his Palace
The Onogie of Ogwa Kingdom, His Royal Highness Zaiki V. A. Onogie II JP received in his Palace The Apostolic church Nigeria LAWNA Executive Council Members led by National Vice-President /LAWNA Territorial Chairman Pastor (Dr) Senior Gabriel Okpako Uyeh JP on Friday January 5, 2024.
The Proprietor and Visitor, Glorious Vision University Ogwa, Edo State, Pastor (Dr) Senior Okpako Uyeh JP told the Onogie that the leaders of the church were in Ogwa town in order to pray and to appeal to the King to help in seeking peace.
According to him, he said. ‘’as we always do every year, we come here to pray first for our institution. That is why we are here.
‘’We actually want God through you to intervene. We know you efforts, eave admire your involvement but we need more. So that what we want to do in the land can start without wasting time. Personally in 2021, my family promised to build a clinic, we cannot do it and others things that we want to do. We are worried because we want to work but the community is not satisfied.’’
‘’That is why we are appealing to you and your council to help us more. As we are praying, we wait on your word too even through the government, so that they will see reason to have a sense of belonging and to see to the development of the land. That’s why we are here.’’
TACN LAWNA Territorial Chairman Pastor (Dr) Senior Gabriel Okpako Uyeh JP solicited for more cooperation between the University host community and the Church so that there can be more development in Ogwa town.
In his response, The Onogie of Ogwa Kingdom pledges more support for the Glorious Vision University Ogwa Edo State.
He said, ‘’our resolve to always stand by the University is unwavering. We shall continue to support whatever development that the university is seeking for in our town.’’
‘’As I have told the Acting Vice-Chancellor, we would ensure to provide a level playground for the projects on the campus to commence this year. Like we said, we are already working on this side to ensuring that we make progress one way or the other.
‘’I can assured you that you are not more worried that we are equally as worried as you are that we are not taking the giant stride as anticipated moving forward. The crisis between the Community and the university had lingered for too long and we are not satisfied with that so we can assure you that this year we would do our best to fast track the resolution in one way or the other of this matter. We cannot leave it lying low forever.’’
