Pastor Uyeh Urges Evangelists to Rely on Holy Spirit for Success in Ministry

The Apostolic Church Nigeria LAWNA Territorial Chairman, Pastor (Dr) Senior Gabriel Okpako Uyeh JP has urged all the Area Evangelists in the Territory to rely on Holy Spirit for success in their ministry.
Pastor (Dr) Senior Gabriel Okpako Uyeh gave the charge in his opening remarks at the annual fasting and praying retreat for all Area Evangelists in LAWNA Territory.
In his message with the topic, Relying on The Spirit of God for Success in Your Ministry The National Vice-President/LAWNA Territorial Chairman defined success as what a man achieved at the end of his ministry in the Kingdom of God.
He said success is not about acquisition of material wealth or holding position the society but have eternity in focus after ones on earth.
According to Pastor Uyeh, ‘’Success is not the money and cars that have. Success in the world is the money and position you have in the society but success in the ministry is your end, that is where you will end in the Kingdom of heaven’’.
While admonishing the Area Evangelists on the need to stay true to their callings, the LAWNA Chairman said that there are many people who are not satisfied with their calling in the Ministry thereby dropping evangelism office to take up Apostleship.
He stated that the inability of an Evangelist to seek for the power of Holy Spirit, imitation and going out to take up strange power are some of the reasons why success in the Ministry will continue to be difficult for some Evangelists.
Pastor (Dr) Senior Uyeh however enjoined all the Area Evangelists in the Territory to beware of imitation, love of money and importation of strange powers for the Lord wants everyone to stand by His word and get encouragement in order to advance the Kingdom.
He said ‘’I want to tell you that if you want success in this Ministry, beware of imitation, we all are not gifted in the same way. Beware of going out to take power outside from the enemy of God. Whether directly or indirectly do not take power from the devil’.
‘’All I am trying to remind you is that you must be in touch with God through the power of Holy Spirit for the Glory of God.’’
The annual 3-day annual meeting for all Area evangelists in the territory with theme THE GREAT SPIRITUAL TOOLS FOR THE WIDER SCOPE OF THE MINISTRY (Isaiah 54:2-3) holds from Tuesday 19th- Thursday 21st March, 2024.
