It was a fresh start in the New Year 2024 as The Apostolic Church Nigeria LAWNA Executive Council members took a spiritual trip to Glorious Vision University, Ogwa Edo State. The journey which is annual fasting and prayer retreat by the top leadership of the Territory as commanded by God was meant to pray for the progress and to have on-site assessment of the University.
The journey led by the 6th LAWNA Territorial Chairman Pastor (Dr) Senior Gabriel Okpako Uyeh JP had other Principal Officers and LAWNA Executive Council members of Church happened between Thursday 4th– Saturday 6th January, 2024.
Upon arrival at the Ogwa Campus, Edo State on the journey of about seven hours on the road, TACN LAWNA Territory leadership were received by the top of Management of the University led by the Acting Vice-Chancellor, Elder Professor Ezekiel Shegun Asemah and other Area Superintendents from all Areas in Edo State.
In his exhortation at the opening devotion on day one, The LAWNA Chairman charged all the participants at the retreat to allow the Spirit of God to lead them so that the light of God can shine brighter at the University.
Reading from Psalm 68, he said the Lord must arise to fight the enemies of the university so that there will be room to carry out the aims and objectives of the establishment by the leaders of the Church.
According to him, he said ‘’there are a lot to do for this University but the challenges been faced by the host community is delaying them. One of the reasons why we here is to pray and call on God for divine intervention so that the institution can progress and move forward’’.
Pastor Uyeh therefore charged the leaders to see the assignment of God to deal with the enemies of the University and proffer a lasting solution on the campus.
