Four expressions to always ponder about:
Bearing a New name in old life is like the Path of foolishness.
1. Rom 6:1 What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?
1. Tit 3:3 For we ourselves also were sometimes foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving divers lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, and hating one another.
Celebrating a New Title In The Old Life Is Like a Journey to Destruction.
1. 1 Cor 6:10 Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.
A new Name without a new life is like a woman without breasts.
1. Song 8:8 We have a little sister, and she hath no breasts: what shall we do for our sister in the day when she shall be spoken for?

A New Nature cum New life is the Preservation of Salvation

WHY IS THE MAINTENANCE OF THE NEW NAME NECESSARY?
- One of the ways to avoid missing the rapture is to live a lifestyle that will qualify you for it.
- Rahab the harlot never changed her name, but she changed her lifestyle.
- Heb 11:13 By faith the harlot Rahab perished not with them that believed not, when she had received the spies with peace.
- Do not forget that a new name is only possible when you become a new creature. And a new creature is someone who has been genuinely saved.
- 2 Cor 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
- As Christians, there are five Important things you must learn and practice their maintenance so that you won’t miss the rapture:
- Grace Maintenance – Holiness Maintenance – Anointing or Holy Ghost Maintenance – Salvation Maintenance – New Name Maintenance.
2 Pet 2:20 For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning.
If after you have been given a new name by Jesus but you fail to maintain the name the following can happen to you evidently:
- You can become a backslider.
- You can go back into the world again.
- You can lose the salvation.
- You can lose the new name.
- You can go back to his vomit.
- You can miss the rapture.
- The devils can repossess you by making your life miserable.
Therefore, if you do not want the devil to give you a bad name any longer, ensure you maintain your new name (which is your salvation) in Christ.

HOW TO MAINTAIN A NEW NAME IN CHRIST EFFECTIVELY.
There are five ways in which you can maintain your new name in Christ effectively.
Break the bridge you crossed to salvation.
- What were the bridges you crossed to salvation?
  - The sins you came out from.
  - The friends you departed from.
  - The ex-man or woman you separated from
  - The lifestyle you renounced.
- Break those bridges so that you won’t be tempted to cross over back to them again.
Do not (by any means) allow the Holy Spirit to depart from you.
- The Holy Spirit has three nature natures which I’m always afraid of:
The nature of coming into…
The nature of staying with…
The nature of departing from…
- When the Holy Spirit comes into you, do not be overjoyous because if care is not taken, he that comes in can also go out.
- Therefore, to maintain your new name, ensure you live a life of Holiness so that the Holy Spirit will not depart from you since He is the only one who can maintain your new name in Christ for you till the end.
  - The Holy Spirit departed from Samson, his name turned from the national ruler to the national criminal who died in the prison of his enemy.
Decide to serve God and to live your life for Him alone.
- All the servants of a king will always put on their uniform when at the service.
- When you are determined to serve God genuinely, He will ensure your name remains intact in the book of like.
- Possibly, a trying period may come, but God will stand by you to overcome it.
Understand the bible, believe, and live it.
- The bible is the word of God. You will always need God to speak to you. The word will guide and guard you especially when something will rise to confront your faith in God.
Be determined to make it to Heaven.
- A personally determined man is stronger than a stone. When you determine to make Heavenly, you won’t allow anything to interrupt your relationship with God to the point of tampering with your salvation.
