The Acting Vice-Chancellor, Elder Professor Ezekiel Shegun Asemah has solicited for the support of LAWNA Executive Council for introduction and full accredidation of Nursing and Law courses at Glorious Vision University.
Professor Ezekiel Shegun Asemah while addressing the LAWNA Executive Council Members during the 3-day fasting and prayer retreat held to pray for the University and to also access the level of progress said that if a University does not professional courses like Nursing and Law, such a university is just joking.
Our Law programme was approved by National Universities Commission (NUC) in 2019. The stage we are now is for Center for Legal Education (CLE) to come for full accreditation in February so that we can mobilize our student to go Law School.
On the School of Nursing, The Acting VC said he charged the Dean of College of basic and Applied Science to prepare the Curriculum for Nursing which will be presented in no distance time for the School of Nursing to take off at GVU.
According to him, ‘’Once we have School of Nursing and School of approved, we can guaranteed that we would not need to bother the church for money but to give back to the church because in some private universities, the money that comes from Nursing alone is enough to pay staff salary for the whole university.’’
The Ag Vice-Chancellor called on the leaders to assist on the issue of electricity through the provision of Solar Generating Power that will help to reduce overhead cost on the university.
In his response and vote of thanks on behalf of LAWNA executive Council, Abuja Metropolitan Areas Chairman Pastor Joseph Fadipe said the leaders of the church are very happy from the progress report given by the Acting VC, the warm reception by the Management and willingness to put thing right which shows that Glorious Vision University is on the right track through the efforts of the leaders.
Glorious Vision University is a faith-based university of The Apostolic Church Nigeria LAWNA Territory located at Ogwa, Edo State and Lagos Nigeria.
