FAITH THAT CARRIES CROSS TO THE STATION OF GLORY

        Text John 19:17

And he bearing his cross went forth into a place called the place of a skull, which is called in the Hebrew Golgotha.

A USEFUL INSIGHT TO CARRYING THE CROSS

One thing is to carry your cross, but another thing is to carry it to the station of glory – God’s expected station.

A lot of people had carried a cross, but a few of them were able to carry it to the station of glory.

Mathew 24:13 But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.

Many people often say by quoting the statement of Paul in the book of Romans:

Romans 8:37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.

Factually, not everyone in the church, regardless of his position, title, spiritual gift, influence, and affluence can say he is more than the conquerors.

The word ‘more than the conquerors’ can be briefly explained with three words or phrases.

The Conquered.

The Conquerors

The more than the Conquerors.

The Conquered – These are the people who surrendered their lives to Jesus Christ, but when they came across troubles, trials, temptations, and difficulties; they could not bear them, and went back.

The Conquerors – These are the believers who surrendered their lives to Jesus, and when they came across troubles, trials, temptations, and persecutions. They asked God to solve their problems, and God did, hence they decided to remain in God. They are in God because their problems were solved.

The ‘more than the conquerors’ – These are believers who surrendered their lives to Jesus when they came across troubles, trials, temptations, and persecutions. They asked God to solve their problems, and God did NOT, hence they made up their mind that whether their problems were solved or not, nothing would take them away from serving God.

Many Christians understand the fact of carrying the cross, but only a few know that the cross has stations.

THE STATIONS OF THE CROSS OF JESUS CHRIST. John 19: 1-17

That is where He started carrying the cross, the route He passed through, and the final station.

Let’s look at the four PRINCIPAL stations of the cross of Jesus Christ. John 19: 1-17

The station of wearing the Crown of Thorns.

John 19: 2 And the soldiers platted a crown of thorns, and put it on his head, and they put on him a purple robe.

This was the change of identity.

He who desires the crown of the THRONE should be ready to wear the crown of thorns.

The station of Condemning Righteousness.

John 19: 6 When the chief priests therefore and officers saw him, they cried out, saying, Crucify him, crucify him. Pilate saith unto them, Take ye him, and crucify him: for I find no fault in him.

This is the point of injustice.

Whenever you are bearing the cross, it is possible that your righteousness may be condemned.

This is the reason why you still pass through trials and temptations despite your holiness and faithfulness.

The station of Public Rejection.

John 19:15 But they cried out, Away with him, away with him, crucify him. Pilate saith unto them, Shall I crucify your King? The chief priests answered, We have no king but Caesar.

The station of public rejection is the point of devastation.

At this point, the cross bearer might fall down.

At this point, Satan will stand seriously against you because he knows that you are at the semi-final.

The station of Glory – the God’s expected Destination.

John19:17 And he bearing his cross went forth into a place called the place of a skull, which is called in the Hebrew Golgotha:

From the cross to the throne.

The final station, and the final station is the tough station.

This is the point many Christians fail to carry their cross to.

THE DIRECT APPLICATION OF THIS MESSAGE.

Where did you start carrying your cross, and which station did you reach before you dropped it? This question is directed to you. Where were you able to reach before you compromised?

Who are those who failed to carry their cross to the station of glory?

Those who had compromised their faith because of persecution.

Those who compromised faithfulness because of hatred at their place of work.

The man who can no longer endure the childbearing delay in his marriage, hence goes out to sleep with another lady.

The husband/man who cannot endure the physical challenge of his wife and decides to sleep with another woman.  Likewise, the wife too.

The man or woman whose wife/husband is dead, and decided not to remarry, but then commits fornication/adultery.

The wives who can no longer bear the cross she came across in her marriage.

Those who are into rituals or joined cultism because they cannot wait for the time of God.

The backsliders – those who have gone back into the world.

Those who decided to stop living a holy life.

Those who can no longer wait – they are tired.

Those who have lost their salvation, but they are just in the congregation.

Those who have not surrendered their lives to God.

The principal thing you need at this point is the grace to carry the cross to the station of Glory.

Everybody needs this grace.

Where can you find the grace? The grace is available in Christ Jesus.

Therefore, if you can come before the throne of mercy NOW, you will get the grace, and not only the grace, even the Holy that will help you to carry the cross to the end.
