                           SOUL PRIORITIZATION FOR HEAVEN

                                          Text: Mark 8: 36

For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?

1. WHAT IS SOUL PRIORITIZATION FOR HEAVEN?
2. It is a condition in which you place the salvation of your soul above every other pursuit on earth.
   1. Heb 10:39 But we are not of them who draw back unto perdition; but of them that believe to the saving of the soul.
3. It is also a situation whereby you are concerned about the end of your soul and how it will live in eternity with God.
   1. Job 6:7 The things that my soul refused to touch are as my sorrowful meat.
4. More so, it is a condition whereby you check yourself often if worldly influences have swindled your soul.
   1. 2 Cor 13:5 Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?

• WHY DO YOU NEED TO PRIORIZE YOUR SOUL FOR HEAVEN?
• You can die at any time without any notice.
  • Luke 12:19-20 And I will say to my soul, Soul, thou hast much goods laid up for many years; take thine ease, eat, drink, and be merry.  20 But God said unto him, Thou fool, this night thy soul shall be required of thee…
• Your soul is indispensable to God – the gain of God.
  • Psalm 49:8 (For the redemption of their soul is precious, and it ceaseth for ever:)
• Your soul is irreplaceable.  
  • Mark 8:37 Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?
• So that your soul will have eternal rest
  • Heb 4:9 There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God.
  • Heb 4:11 Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief. 

• FOUR ETERNAL REGRETS THAT CAN BEFALL ANYONE WHO FAILS TO PRIORITIZE HIS SOUL FOR HEAVEN.
• The regret of having the consciousness of God but failing to prioritize one’s soul for Heaven.
  • Luke 16:23-24 And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom. 24 And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.
• The regret of enjoying on earth, but failure to enjoy eternally in Heaven.
  • Luke 16:25 But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime receivedst thy good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things: but now he is comforted, and thou art tormented.
• The regret of affecting one’s family badly through failure to prioritize soul for Heaven.
  • Luke 16: 27-31 Then he said, I pray thee therefore, father, that thou wouldest send him to my father’s house: 28 For I have five brethren; that he may testify unto them, lest they also come into this place of torment. 29 Abraham saith unto him, They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them. 30 And he said, Nay, father Abraham: but if one went unto them from the dead, they will repent. 31 And he said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead
• The regret of losing one’s soul to the hand of Satan.
  • Luke 16: 22 And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham’s bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried.
